As previously announced, Draco Motorsports will be running Sedona wheels in addition to Sedona tires from the 2021 season onwards on both race rigs. We’ve had a handful of other manufacturers wheels in the past and thus, feel as though we have a strong perspective for which to judge these new wheels. Needless to say, we are very impressed with what we’ve seen so far. Characteristics that especially standout with this wheel include weight reduction, aesthetics, and price-point. Read on for our full initial evaluation.

The little details count- this wheel was carefully crafted to satisfy high-end quality characteristics at an unmatchable level of affordability.

First Impressions- Options and Design
An obvious advantage to this wheel is the myriad of options you have upon ordering. A common setback of most other aftermarket wheels is the limitation of offset options. Usually a compromise has to be made in this category- particularly with your wheels, however, this is one of the items where it’s imperative to get exactly what you need. What we found with the Sano wheel is the vast expanse of options: 5+1, 5+2, 6+1, R15, R14 you name it, they offer it. Color Options as well? Yes- color options are offered with each offset style so you don’t have to settle on aesthetics to gain performance.
Most predominant, however, is the bold appearance of the spoked design and brushed finish. The wheel has great depth as well- we’ve had other wheels that were flat at the spokes and prefer the attention-to-detail of the Sedonas thus far.
Lightweight and Resoundingly Tough
Sedona optimized all of the ideal constraints when constructing this wheel- something we particularly love is the reduction of weight. Compared to our previous racing wheels, these reduce approximately 3 pounds per corner of rotating mass. Even though these are lightweight, no compromises seem to be made on rigidity. The beadlock ring is forged 6061 aluminum while the rest of the wheel is cast A356 aluminum. For those who don’t know, this material directly rivals some of the biggest players in the wheel manufacturer marketplace. We feel resoundingly confident in the structure of this wheel and, based on the numbers, are excited for the advantages to come.
Affordability, Exceptional Quality, and Detail
Why do already speak so highly of this wheel? Lets make it simple:
- Valve stems are PROVIDED and PRE-INSTALLED
- Center caps are a tight and solid fit
- Price-point ($234.95 USD) is a market-leading quality
- Factory lug nuts are OK- no additional purchases necessary
We understand some of the aforementioned items are small things but the bottom line is that when you spend that much money on a part, it should be perfect. Of all the OTHER brand wheels we have used, at least half of the above items are lacking. It’s frustrating when that is the case and we couldn’t be happier to announce that the Sano wheel fixes all of that for you.
